🚗 Car Finance Process for Work Visa Holders

We welcome customers on valid work visas! Getting car finance is possible even if you’re new to New Zealand. Here’s how the process works:

✅ Step 1: Choose Your Car

Browse our range of quality used vehicles at our Auckland yard or online. Once you find the car you love, let us know you’d like to apply for finance.

✅ Step 2: Check Eligibility

To apply for finance as a work visa holder, you’ll need to meet a few basic requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

Valid NZ Work Visa (must have at least 6 months remaining)
NZ Driver’s Licence or International Licence with NZTA recognition
Proof of stable income (payslips or bank statements)
Proof of NZ address (e.g. utility bill or tenancy agreement)
Minimum 18 years of age

Some lenders may prefer you to have been in NZ for at least 3–6 months.

✅ Step 3: Apply for Finance

We’ll help you fill out a finance application—either in-store or online. This includes personal, employment, and financial information.

We then match you with the most suitable finance provider from our panel of lenders. As a dealership, we work as a credit broker, not a lender.

✅ Step 4: Finance Approval

Approval can take anywhere from 1 hour to 1 business day. The finance provider will assess:

Your visa status and expiry date
Employment and income stability
Credit history (NZ and international, if applicable)

Even if your credit history is limited or you’re new to NZ, we may still be able to help.

✅ Step 5: Sign the Agreement

Once approved, we’ll go through the loan terms with you:

Interest rate and repayments
Loan term (typically 1–5 years)
Early repayment options
Insurance options (optional add-ons)

You’ll sign the loan documents either in person or digitally.

✅ Step 6: Drive Away!

Once all paperwork is signed and the deposit (if required) is paid, the vehicle is yours to take home! We’ll sort the registration, WOF, and even insurance if needed.

Try to have at least 6 months left on your visa
A full-time job with consistent income increases approval chances
A bigger deposit may improve your finance offer
Be honest and clear about your visa and employment situation
